NEOC Rules & Terms - a MUST read

By utilizing this site, every user acknowledges they have read and agree to abide by the rules of the NortheastOhio Couponers Website. Administration reserves the right to delete any message and member subject to their discretion. Messages posted do not reflect the opinions of administration and Northeast Ohio Couponers are not responsible for the content of individual posts.

1. No flaming, insulting, arguing, deal nit picking, fault finding, etc... allowed here in our happy corner of the net. This has always applied to the board, however because of circumstances brought to our attention, extends now to the personal world of PM's, emails and phone calls. For example, if you receive a flaming private message or email - just forward it to us and we will attempt to end it. If we can't the member will be banned.

2. We started the Northeast Ohio Couponers to get away from all the selling sites which include page after page of coupons for sale and loads of complaints about bad traders, etc... We are and will remain different. We are a trading group and acts of kindness group only. There is NEVER any selling of coupons allowed here or links to other areas where you list coupons for sale. Think of us as a high tech version of the good ol' trade coupons with your family, friends and neighbors thing.

3. We have spent countless hours volunteering to create and manage all that is required to keep this site up. We don't charge for basic use of the board at this time, but effective in October 2007 we will be carefully selecting advertisers and sponsors to help us keep the site running. It's nothing big, but every time a purchase is made or sometimes even just a click is registered, we get a tiny commission. With that in mind, there is no posting of or linking to any other couponing or deals sites. They are quite frankly the competition, typically quite larger and earn far more than we can imagine. We aren't here to promote them. If at any time your interested in other couponing sites, just google the words, "coupons" or "deals" and you will come up with loads of these sites you can check out on your own.

4. No self-promotion of any kind is currently allowed online or at an NEOC swap or other event. You are not allowed to post any affiliate or business links here. This includes your automatic signature, so please do not list links to your business or site here, i.e. Avon, Tupperware, Ebay, Fundraising, etc... You are allowed to list your website in your personal profile only. Community Charity EVENTS may be listed in the local events forum.

A) If despite the above rule, you choose to post links and or advertisers to businesses or individuals, you hereby grant permission to be billed the sum of $500.00 for using this site as an advertiser in which you were unauthorized to do so.

5. No members are allowed to solicit other members. If you receive anything from any member asking you to check out their site, click on this link, we are fund raising, vote for my kid/dog/spouse etc...please forward the message to us.

6. For security reasons, NEVER post your street address or phone number here. We are a public board with thousands of registered and unregistered guests checking out the boards at any given time - all of which can access your personal info if it's posted here. It should go without saying that in addition - no member is allowed to post anyone else's personal info. If this happens, your account and I.P address will be terminated and you will be banned from the site - without any warning other than this notice.

7. There is never to be any mention of using a coupon in a manner other than for what is was intended. We do not allow posts with links to pdf files, the promotion of illegal usage of coupons or any fraudulent or illegal activity of any sort. If someone comes across a post that violates this rule, please forward the message to admin in the form of a PM or email.

8. All information herein this website is for the sole use of the Northeast Ohio Couponers. Permission is NOT granted to use the material elsewhere.

9. The owners and administrators of the Northeast Ohio Couponers forums, blog and website are not responsible for the content of the posts made by individual members or guests.  We are unable to monitor every post or comment made by members or guests and will not be held accountable for the actions of others.  In addition, the owners and administrators do not attend most of the coupon swaps organized by and posted by members of the forums/website and are not in any fashion responsible for words, content, actions or advice provided by any members who attend the swaps.
